Following the great success of the previous editions, FDI is thrilled to announce the 4th edition of the FDI Young Dentist Forum, set to take place during the 2026 World Dental Congress.
Don’t miss this exciting edition, featuring engaging discussions and invaluable insights for the next generation of dental professionals.
This forum will bring together young dentists from across the globe to explore today’s most relevant topics in dentistry and discover professional development opportunities within the profession. It is a prime opportunity for early-career dentists to expand their professional networks and gain firsthand insight into FDI’s impactful work.
Christina Radics is a dentist and former dental practice owner, international speaker, and leadership coach specializing in mental resilience, sustainable performance, and work–life harmony in dentistry. With more than 20 years of clinical and leadership experience in Sweden and Spain, she brings deep, first-hand insight into the realities of dental practice ownership, team leadership, and professional burnout.
After selling her practice, Christina transitioned into coaching and speaking, supporting dentists, teams, and organizations in building healthier, high-performing, and more human-centered workplaces. She is the creator of the 3+5 Work-Life Harmony framework, which challenges common misconceptions about balance and focuses on five foundational domains that drive long-term wellbeing, engagement, and professional fulfillment.
Work-Life Harmony Myths and Truths for a Balanced Life
Building resilience, clarity, and sustainable success in modern dentistry
Young dentists are trained to deliver clinical excellence - but almost never taught how to protect their own energy, focus, and wellbeing. The result? Rising stress, early burnout, and talented professionals questioning a career they once dreamed of. In this 45-minute session in Prague, leadership coach and former practice owner Christina Radics challenges the outdated idea of “work-life balance” and introduces a more realistic and sustainable approach: work-life harmony.
Blending personal experience, research, and practical tools, she uncovers the hidden myths that drive overwork, guilt, and exhaustion - and shares five powerful pillars that help dentists build resilience, clarity, and long-term performance. Participants will leave with simple, actionable strategies to set healthier boundaries, reduce stress, strengthen teamwork, and design a career that energizes rather than drains them.
Because dentistry shouldn’t be something you survive - it should be something you thrive in.
Learning Objectives:
Dr. Eunhyuk Lee is a board-certified specialist in Prosthodontics and Director of Seoul Simdo Dental Clinic in Seoul, South Korea. He earned his DDS and PhD from Seoul National University School of Dentistry. A distinguished clinician and researcher, he is the 2026 FDI Young Dentists Forum Speaker Contest winner. He previously received the 1st Place Hatton Award from the IADR Korean Division (2021) and the Yeosong New Scholar Award from the Korean Academy of Prosthodontics (2021). An active international lecturer, his clinical focus spans anterior implantology, periodontal plastic surgery, and esthetic anterior restorations - areas in which he regularly presents at national and international conferences. His research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, reflecting his commitment to advancing evidence-based practice in esthetic and implant dentistry.
Strategies for Esthetic and Stable Anterior Implants: A Focus on Delayed Placement
Achieving predictable esthetics in the anterior maxilla is challenging in delayed placement due to ridge resorption and soft tissue alterations. This presentation proposes a three-phase workflow—surgical, conditioning, and prosthetic—to ensure long-term stability and esthetics.
In the surgical phase, accurate implant positioning and mucosal thickness are paramount. Improper positioning risks peri-implant soft tissue dehiscence. The session discusses using connective tissue grafts (CTG) to compensate for defects and secure adequate tissue thickness, essential for masking prosthetic components and ensuring marginal stability.
The conditioning phase uses provisional restorations to shape peri-implant tissues. By guiding the emergence profile and gingival line, clinicians achieve harmony with adjacent teeth through provisional adjustments.
In the final prosthetic phase, precise replication of the transmucosal area is crucial to transfer the established tissue relationship. To address color matching, this presentation introduces objective methods to minimize errors using spectrophotometry and AI-driven shade-matching techniques.
